Information regarding the South Stand:
The South Stand is home to our dedicated ultras group – Pietų–IV, who are the driving force behind our matchday atmospheres, as they engage in continuous chanting, flag waving, and display a number of unique banners. At FK Žalgiris Vilnius, we strive to ensure that each and every group who is present in our stadium is respected, therefore we politely ask all visitors who are considering to sit in the South Stand to respect some longstanding traditions which are as followed:
Sing Your Heart Out; the South Stand is primarily for our most active supporters and ultras group – be prepared to participate in the songs, and engage in non-stop chanting for the entirety of the game.
Eyes Up–Not Down; our ultras group lives purely in the moment during matches. We kindly ask you to put your mobile phones away – that means no filming, and no selfies, just wholehearted engagement in the game at hand.
A Green and White World; if sitting in the South Stand, please do not wear hats, scarves, or shirts of other football clubs – green and white are the colours most appreciated in the South Stand.
Follow the Leader; the ultras group is primarily led by a capo – imagine a conductor passionately waving at an orchestra, the capo typically shouts instructions regarding when to clap, jump, or display scarves etc. We advise you to participate fully, as the capo is responsible for creating atmosphere through unison; he requires your attention.
No Language–No Problem; if you are not fluent in Lithuanian, then do not worry – pay attention to the rhythm of the chants, attempt to mimic the lyrics, and provide as much energy as you can!
Save the Snacks; as you will need a pair of hands free, and an empty mouth to match, we recommend that you eat/drink before the match begins, or during the half-time interval, because the South Stand will require your full recognition for each half.
If you prefer a more relaxed atmosphere – one where you can take photographs and observe the match without chanting, we highly recommend that you purchase tickets in either the East or West stands instead, where you are still able to have an excellent view of the pitch, soak up the local atmosphere, and watch Pietų–IV in action from a distance.
